I know it was just a few days ago that I was blogging about my son’s 5th birthday, and today I am back to blog about my daughter’s 8th birthday. Yep, their birthdays are five days apart and also fall a month before Christmas too. You would not believe the volume of stuff that comes into my house in November and December because of this. It’s crazy!
So Happy 8th Birthday today to Thing 1, my firstborn. She told me that she wants to be a judge on “America’s Got Talent” when she grows up. I told her that was an impressive goal but also explained to her that there are a lot of people who want to be on TV but not very many spots for people to be on TV. I suggested that even though she could aim for that role it would be good to also have a backup plan. You know, just in case Sharon Osbourne doesn’t want to give up her seat. She said “If it doesn’t work out for me to be a judge on America’s Got Talent, then I will just be Miss America.”
P.S. I created this invitation for my daughter’s candy-making party using digital elements and papers by Dani Mogstad. Check her out….I really love her designs!
