There was a lunar eclipse last night that happened to coincide with a supermoon. Some of my photographer friends were headed up to Artist Point to photograph it, but my kids wanted to come along and it’s a school night and a trip to Artist Point just wasn’t in the cards for us. We ended up going to Northwest Fields and watched a beautiful show as the moon rose up over Mount Baker. The blood moon got redder and redder as it rose. My photos are not as awe-inspiring as the ones taken at Artist Point but I am still pretty happy.
What was also pretty amazing was the view out of my bedroom window the next morning. Yeah, that’s still the blood moon. Pretty cool, huh?
